My mom-in-law will celebrate her birthday in a few days and I realized that I don’t have anything for her yet. I was thinking that online shopping is always doable for me these days. I haven’t been able to go in the mall because of all the things I do. So when I saw this discount fashion jewelry over at Holsted. I know that I will be getting a pair of earrings with necklace and ring for her! Because it’s not pricey and you can find different kinds of styles for different kinds of taste! I love that they are offering discounts to some of their collections. I’ll see what I want for my mom-in-law and let you know what I will get;) On the second though..I might as well include something for my own Mom too!

..saw this from Babycenter and thought this came in handy specially to those who are newly Mom’s!
Use this guide to find out what and how much to feed your child at every stage of development from birth to 12 months. (For kids ages 12 to 36 months, click here.) Don’t worry if your child eats more or less than the amounts listed — they’re only meant as rough guidelines.
You don’t have to introduce foods to your child in any particular order. If you want to give your baby a taste of tofu at age 6 months, go ahead, even though it’s not listed on our chart until age 8 months.
It was once considered important to wait until age 1 or even age 3 before introducing highly allergenic foods like eggs, fish, and peanuts. Experts now believe that postponing these foods doesn’t prevent food allergies.
Age: Birth to 4 months
Feeding behavior
• Rooting reflex helps your baby turn toward a nipple to find nourishment
What to feed
• Breast milk or formula ONLY How much per day
• See How to Tell if Your Baby’s Getting Enough Breast Milk
• See How to Tell How Much Formula Your Baby Needs
Feeding tip
• Your baby’s digestive tract is still developing, so solid food is off-limits for now.
Age: 4 to 6 months
Signs of readiness for solid food
Your baby probably won’t do all these things — they’re just clues to watch for.
• Can hold head up
• Sits well in highchair
• Makes chewing motions
• Shows significant weight gain (birth weight has doubled)
• Shows interest in food
• Can close mouth around a spoon
• Can move food from front to back of mouth
• Can move tongue back and forth, but is losing tendency to push food out with tongue
• Seems hungry after 8 to 10 feedings of breast milk or 40 oz. of formula in a day
• Is teething
What to feed
• Breast milk or formula, PLUS
• Semi-liquid iron-fortified rice cereal, THEN
• Other grain cereals like oats or barley How much per day
• Begin with about 1 teaspoon dry rice cereal mixed with 4 to 5 teaspoons breast milk or formula (it’ll be very runny).
• Gradually thicken consistency and increase to 1 tablespoon dry cereal mixed with breast milk or formula, twice a day.
Feeding tips
• If your baby won’t eat the cereal on the first try, offer it again in a few days.
Will post the others in the next post;)
My little boy will turn 2 yrs old in 4 months time. Time does fly..Here’s what it says for his 20 months old;)
What’s your toddler doing? At 20 months, your child should be able to run, though not as smoothly as he’ll be able to later. He may also go up stairs by himself, but he’ll most likely need some help on the way down. He can probably kick a ball, too, yet hasn’t gotten the hang of jumping or throwing overhand.
He’s active in less desirable ways as well. Small children frequently resort to hitting, pushing, biting, tugging, and other frowned-on actions to make themselves feel more important but also to experiment: What happens when I hit Kaitlin? Will the same thing happen when I hit Justin? Don’t overreact to your toddler’s behavior. If you retaliate by hitting, it teaches that hitting is okay. Calmly make clear that such actions are never acceptable — no matter how intensely he’s feeling.
Toddlers are naturally curious about everything — including their genitals. Just as they played with fingers and toes when they were younger, they’ll begin to play with their genitals now. It’s nothing to worry about — unless it’s happening nonstop. When your child touches himself in public, don’t make a huge deal about it. Just explain that some things are done only at home in private.
How your life is changing: Your toddler is very attached to you, but of course you can’t always be together. When you or another important adult leaves, it can be unsettling for your child, who relies on your presence to feel secure. Ease transitions by letting him know beforehand that you’re going to leave, and then don’t drag out your exit. Give him a quick kiss, and be off.
Parent Tip: How to Avoid “No” “Instead of telling my son no all the time, which can lead to power struggles, try saying things like, “Let’s try eating with our fork,” “Let’s not play with the lamp cord right now — let’s color instead.” You’ll find that giving your child a way out that facilitates communication and listening really pays off.”
I thought that the 2 kids are big now. I can go back to my schooling again. I mean take up a second course or pursue my masters. I still have a lot of things to do if ever and for sure some thinking but I really want to try. And when I saw this online degree that I’ve heard the nth times from a few of my friends. This got me thinking, why not! I have a lot of help I can get here since there are house helps and nannies. And this online school offers different kinds of courses that I might be interested. I just want to do some thing for myself now. Let’s see how all this thinking and plans will take me;)
“This (or “the following”) blog post was (or “is”) based on information provided by Blogitive. For more information, please visit Blogitive.com.”
1. In a moment of anger, someone close to you says something unkind: even after he or she apologizes, how easily do you let it go?
+ I easily forgive and forget! hehe You asked my siblings and the husband. I easily get over it with and sometimes it’s not really nice anymore! I’m just so easy to deal with..That’s one beauty of me, I guess
2. Your boss criticizes you for something you’ve done wrong: how quick are you to put the criticism itself out of your mind?
+ Not sure. It might take me a few days..but as I said I can be so weird with those kind of stuff..because I can get over with things easily and move on!
3. Take the quiz: Are You Thin-Skinned or Thick-Skinned?
+ You Are Thick-Skinned
People may not always love you, but that’s totally fine.
You’re happy with who you are, and you don’t really crave outside approval.
You love yourself, and that’s the most important thing. You have high self esteem.
And because you don’t care what other people think, they tend to like you a lot!
4. As a general rule, are you more encouraging to others, or do others tend to be more encouraging to you?
+ Encouraging, I think;)
5. If you’re on the fence about a decision, how likely is pressure to do what your friends want you to do going to affect your decision?
+ When it’s something important, I tend to just weigh in it myself specially if it’s life changing decisions. I don’t want to blame them if things don’t go my way. Of course, I still asked those closest to me.
6. Think of the oldest thing said to you that “stings” for one reason or another that you haven’t completely let go of: how long ago did that happen?
+ Something really rude. I can’t say it here because that’s just letting the whole world know. But life isn’t perfect after all..But still, it’s very personal. It was a week ago. I got over it with but I remembered again now..And I have to face that someone very soon..Sigh..But then, that’s life!
Enjoy what’s left in your weekend!
You can join, here.
I was busy looking around over at Facebook and stumbled a site where a girl uses something like colonetix for colon cleanse and it was very effective she said! The husband and I went to our fave resto last night, again! It’s twice in a week already and I have been paranoid about my unwanted fats and all. Since I am here now visiting him, I can’t allow myself to indulge unhealthy diet. So after having dinner, we manage to jog around the park near our place. The husband stopped a few times and I managed to turn around a couple more when he rested. I just don’t want to try something like this diet supplements. I’ve heard they’re good alright! But I want to be healthy and I have to make time when it comes to my exercising! I just want to be in good shape after all;)

I have a 7 years old and I know these are really true! Sigh..kids do grow up fast!
1. Your child will say “I love you”
The day you hear those three magical words from your child’s lips — unprompted — your heart will melt.
2. Your child will get too big for your lap
Those peaceful moments of holding your child during feedings, while reading a book, or while just staring out the window will end. Really!
3. Your child will want time alone
Hearing an unfamiliar silence, you’ll rush over to make sure everything’s okay — and see your child happily playing alone. He may even go into his room and push the door closed, then pull a few toys or books off the shelf and entertain himself.
4. Your child will teach you a thing or two
Your little one will remember where you put the keys, what flavor frosting was on her last birthday cake, and other things you can’t recall. She’ll also remind you of how the Constitution was drawn up and why fractions are helpful.
5. Your child will hurt your feelings
One day your little one will say “I hate you!” He’ll also tell you how “mean” or “embarrassing” you are. And then there are the daily honesties that can be hard to hear: “Mommy, your teeth are yellow!” or “Daddy, your breath smells bad!”
6. Your child will show true bravery
Your child will be terrified of doing something — say, riding her bike — and then, one day, you’ll see her push through the fear and wobble off.
7. Your child will make you a better person
You’ll stop putting yourself down in front of the mirror and start being kinder to others as well, because your child is watching. You may even learn to love the vegetables and school subjects you used to detest.
Enjoy your parenthood everyone!!!
You know what I love most being in my home country? Is the fact that I can have all the help that I need in the house without not having to worry for all the house work. I do all for the boys though but a little help for their stuff and things wouldn’t hurt a thing;) Specially that my eldest is a first grader now! And then having a personal driver for my daily stuff out is another perks! I do like to drive and it will save us for the monthly budget. But I just can’t do it all together. So we hired a new driver and it’s really helpful. Besides, my eldest goes to school everyday.
So anyway, I was looking around new cars and all and stumbled upon this law office that in any case you get to have trouble about driving. You can contact this massachusetts oui lawyer that will help you out in trouble. One should be careful in driving. It will surely cost your driver license if ever you will found out guilty. You can read the information about the rules in their site, the rules as well and the other information. Check out what others says about this law firm as well. They have been in business with good reputation to boot!

There are actually 3 important aspects in making it work.
* Communication
I always think that every issue and every aspect at home should be talked about by the couple. Whether it’s about the discipline of the kids or the financial aspect of the family or even the simplest thing like what to eat for dinner. Nothing could be fixed if the couple will just keep quiet and keep there thoughts inside.
* Commitment and Common Values
Being committed to making your marriage work is one of the keys too. If you have the commitment then you will care. You would want to patch things up when something is wrong while common values let you share the same priorities with your partner. You will have to teach similar teachings to your children so there will be less arguments.
* Spirituality/Faith
I always believe that if you out God in the center of any relationship then you will be blessed. Being married means you should also be praying with him.
Have a blessed week!
My peanut that is! Time flies, really..I’ll try to post pics next time;) He’s growing up!
Here’s what Babycenter say;
Toddlers love to feel like they’re making an important contribution to any activity, and chores around the house are no exception. You may find your child’s help makes chores more fun for both of you — or you may find yourself dismayed by how long it takes to get anything done. To avoid frustration, save important tasks for times when your toddler is asleep or away. When he’s around, let him help with small chores like putting his plastic cup and bowl into the dishwasher, or tossing wet clothes into the dryer.
Have a great day!
