He’s 19 months old!

My peanut that is! Time flies, really..I’ll try to post pics next time;) He’s growing up!

Here’s what Babycenter say;

Toddlers love to feel like they’re making an important contribution to any activity, and chores around the house are no exception. You may find your child’s help makes chores more fun for both of you — or you may find yourself dismayed by how long it takes to get anything done. To avoid frustration, save important tasks for times when your toddler is asleep or away. When he’s around, let him help with small chores like putting his plastic cup and bowl into the dishwasher, or tossing wet clothes into the dryer.

Have a great day!

Rediscover What You Love Most

I’m looking for a PS3 players card for my little boy. He’s been asking me that for a few weeks now. Good thing, I saw one at this site that has tons of different games at an affordable prices. Then I chanced up at this tips from Alpha that she saw from here. Thought this is very nice! So, I post it here as well.

1. Begin with some time in solitude.
Find a quiet place to dream. When life spirals out of control and I lose sight of what I love about life, I usually find I haven’t taken any time out for solitude. I need to get away to be alone with my thoughts and to pray.

2. Get a journal and make lists of things you used to love.
The simple process of writing things down makes a big difference for me in finding clarity of thought. Seeing the things I love on a list makes everything feel possible and doable. I love to make lists like my 20 Little Things to jumpstart my thinking.

3. Create daily and weekly rituals out of things you love.
Find ways to incorporate in to your life those things you love most. Make embracing them a regular part of living — don’t let any one or any thing stand in the way! When you take the things you love and elevate them to a daily or weekly ritual you’ll find all the more pleasure in them as you look forward to those experiences on a regular basis!

4. Slow down.
Fill your days with activities that slow you down (yes, the opposite of what we tend to do!) and allow you to appreciate and savor moments of beauty.

5. Embrace simplicity.
Life as we know it is continually filled with new and complicated things. Our phones, our computers, our calendars, our TVs, even our washer and dryer seem to require an advanced degree to be able to use them. And those are the things invented to make life better and easier! Just when we master some new electronic gadget, they crash or the new model comes out and we are frustrated again.

Move away from the complicated as often as possible and enjoy things in their simplest, purest forms. Go back to some of the rituals and pleasures your grandmother might have enjoyed, before life moved into the fast lane.

6. Live life on purpose — dare to incorporate the things you love into your life.
You can do this! Being an adult doesn’t just mean we can have dessert before dinner and stay up until 10PM. It means we can live out the things we’ve always wanted to do.

Isn’t it nice? :) Enjoy!

If your life were a weather vane, which direction would it be pointing right now?

+ Keep buzzing when they know it’s traffic!

Have a great new week!

Can a toddler have a nightmares?

I have this question goes around for days now. I noticed that my little boy cries in the middle of the night and sobs like he was having a nightmare. Saw this and thought you’d want to read it as well. I was looking for a Linksys router because ours is acting up and the husband is not here yet. But I love what I am seeing. Tons of stuff I can just buy from there..

How to know if it’s a nightmare

Unless your toddler can tell you in words something that suggests she had a nightmare, it’s hard to know just what caused her nighttime distress.

There are many possible reasons a toddler might awake at night and be upset. Some may wake and crave comforting because they’ve never learned to soothe themselves back to sleep on their own. Some children awake because they’re ill or uncomfortable. But if your usual “good sleeper” suddenly wakes up crying, seems scared, and is clingy and has trouble getting back to sleep, she may in fact have had a nightmare. Usually it happens during the second half of the night, when dreaming is most likely to occur.

Nightmares shouldn’t be confused with night terrors, a less common sleep disturbance that normally strikes during the first third of the night. Children having a night-terror episode remain fast asleep throughout, in a deep, nondreaming state, yet they’re extremely agitated and hard to console. Afterward, they go back to snoozing soundly and don’t remember the incident in the morning.

Why nightmares happen

Your toddler’s nightmares are most likely linked to something that happened just before bed, like listening to a story that scared her or watching an upsetting show on TV.

Stress can also lead to nightmares. Bedtime itself can be a cause of stress, especially for a toddler who has separation anxiety. Being sick or being separated from a parent for a stretch of time can also be stressful for toddlers.

How to help your toddler after a nightmare

Go to your toddler when she cries out. Physical reassurance is important, so hold her or rub her back until she calms down. You may also want to make sure her favorite stuffed animal or toy is tucked in with her and double-check that the night-light is on. If you bring your toddler into your bed to comfort her, be aware you could be creating a habit that’s hard to reverse.

Talk to her about the nightmare if she’s old enough to understand what you’re saying. But keep in mind that “it’s only a dream” won’t be much consolation, since at this age she doesn’t grasp the difference between reality and dreams.

Have a great week! I’m off here now:)
